I Will Dwell In The Lord's Eternal Home Forever +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: And I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever. Psalm 23:6 KJV May this prospect of dwelling in the LORD's eternal home forever be the greatest pursuit of your life. This was David's goal tool. However, David also led a full life here on earth. He was not resigned to a futuristic utopia and living on the margins of life here on earth. In fact, He was the anointed King of Israel, and one of the greatest in his lineage. What was the secret of his monumental success? The Psalms a book that He wrote gives us first-hand glimpses into the mind of David. David as a shepherd boy had a passion for his sheep and He knew instinctively that the LORD also cared for him with even greater passion. David's dependence on God was absolute; just as his sheep's survival depended on him. In the book of acts we read concerning him; (Acts 13:22) And when he had removed him, he raised up unto them David to be their king; to whom also he gave testimony, and said, I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after mine own heart, which shall fulfill all my will. I believe that God was able to use him to establish His purpose for His people Israel. David was available to God. This must be his secret. As a result, God's goodness and mercies followed him all the days of his life! His mercies shielded him when he was weak and fallen into sin, and His goodness clothed him when he walked in the LORDs will. This grace is available to us this morning. Are you willing to offer yourself to the course of the LORD unreservedly? Are you willing to walk and fulfill all of the LORDs will? Then you are set for greatness. Good and Mercies will follow you too, all the days of your life and the LORD will preserve you for eternity. AMEN.
