Seek The LORD Wholeheartedly +++++++++++++++++++++++++ Blessed are the undefiled in the way, Who walk in the law of the LORD. Blessed are they that keep his testimonies, And that seek him with the whole heart. Psalm 119:1-2 KJV If I were to pick one word to summarise this morning's verse, I will choose "Holiness". The opening word "Blessed" means to "make Holy" or to consecrate; to set apart or be sanctified. In other words, those who walk in the law of the LORD will be set apart. Those who seek Him with all their heart will be consecrated. You see our God does not accept impurity of any kind around Him. Everything and everyone in His presence has to be pure and clean. We cannot relate to Him with a divided devotion. It's so important to Him that Jesus had to die for us in order to purge us of sin and render us holy and fit for fellowship with God. We can picture Him as a "fire" that will burn any impurity in close proximity. (Deuteronomy 4:24) For the LORD thy God is a consuming fire, even a jealous God. God wants our full attention. He either has us all or nothing! We must serve him with all of our hearts. He wants the best from us. He wants complete devotion. Anything less is unacceptable and therefore rejected! Jesus said these words to the Laodiceans: (Revelation 3:16) So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. This morning let us pray and ask the Holy Spirit for power to be holy. For without Holiness no one will see God.
