Jesus Is The Beginning ++++++++++++++++++ In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. John 1:1 KJV John the disciple, opens his account of the gospel, with this eloquent almost mysterious sentence, taking us to the eternal past. The subject of his gospel, his master and LORD, Jesus Christ, is depicted as the “logos”, the Greek “Word” which was the “mysterious intangible”. Jesus Christ as a distinct person was with God and was in all essence, God. In other words, when nothing existed, Jesus Christ existed. He predates the “beginning” when God created the heaven and the earth. (Gen.1:1). John introduces Jesus as the source and the creator of all things. What we know and experience as life was inside of Jesus. It is this same Jesus who becomes the light of all men as He comes into His own creation as Man. Jesus comes to save His own creation. This morning let us reflect deeply on this simple introduction and realize that our whole existence is dictated by this being, fully God and fully man, Jesus Christ. He is everything and we cannot exclude Him from anything. He is the owner, founder, and CEO of the universe. Have you tried to live your life without reference to Jesus Christ? Have you paid attention to Jesus' words in this Gospel of John at all? Why don’t you open up and begin, a day at a time to read this book of John? Ask Jesus to introduce Himself to you. If you do this sincerely, you will certainly discover that everything written by John in this gospel was inspired by this same Jesus as he wrote, word by word, sentence by sentence, this truth of the good news that He died to pay for our sins. What the world has sought to do for more than two thousand years and counting is to discount Jesus Christ. Wicked ignorant men have sought to deny His identity, discredit and bring Him into disrepute. But guess what all that effort has been in vain! Every day, someone embarks on this journey of discovery for themselves, and at the end of their inquest, they come to the same conclusion. Jesus is the beginning of all things and He is all in all our saviour. You too start your journey today!
