Walking In The Light Of God
Walking In the Light of God +++++++++++++++++++++ but if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. 1 John 1:7 KJV God is depicted throughout scripture as LIGHT. God is All-knowing and knowledge is light. It dispels darkness which is ignorance. 1 John 1:5 says in God there is no darkness at all. There is nothing hidden from Him! (1 John 1:6) If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: Friends, we cannot fellowship or commune with God and still walk in ignorance! We cannot fellowship with Jesus without knowing the word of God. WE CANNOT CLAIM TO KNOW GOD OR HIS SON JESUS WHEN WE DO NOT STUDY AND KNOW HIS WORD! We simply lie! (Psalms 119:105) NUN. Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. It is our intimate knowledge of the Word of God that allows us to "walk in the light". The result is that we can "fellowship one with another". This fellowship is one of Divine Love! We grow to love one another. When we love one another we are cleansed from all sin. Paul says: (Ephesians 5:26) That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,. This verse emphasizes the idea that believers are sanctified and cleansed through the Word of God. True knowledge of the Word of God is the miracle that humanity seeks. The problem of the world is ignorance! That knowledge compels immediate and total obedience to God. It works faith in us. We trust Him totally and we are saved! Our focus verse today is strongly encouraging us to meditate on the Word of God literally Day and Night in order to make us successful.
