We Can Find Purpose In Our Pain

We Can Find Purpose In Our Pain ++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God. 2 Corinthians 1:3‭-‬4 KJV God is the source of all comfort. In context, this means that God is our encourager. He strengthens us; He helps us; He refreshes our souls; He consoles us and empowers or energizes us. In Jesus' own words: (John 14:18) I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. He comes to us through His Holy Spirit who indwells us. He promised us: (John 14:16-17) And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. This is His gracious provision for our day of trouble; that we shall find comfort in our afflictions. Remember (Psalms 34:19) Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all. Now, our focus verse this morning emphasizes that we are comforted ourselves from the source so that "we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble". Suddenly your trouble today takes on a completely new purpose. It equips you to be useful to someone else! Even though it is a weakness today, you are strong, as you provide strength to someone in a similar situation. Paul recounts his own affliction: (2 Corinthians 12:8-9) For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me. And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. That power of Christ that rested upon Paul, is now our source of hope and strength. We are comforted in our troubles as we look at the life of Paul. Cheer up, friend! Your experience today will be useful to encourage another person whom the LORD will bring your way soon. God desires us to be participants with Him in the distribution of His Graces in the Kingdom. You have been carefully chosen to be that particular vessel to receive some comfort because of your particular pain; so that you will impact the world around you as God's chosen vessel. May you find the purpose for your pain today. FELLOWSHIP **************** Word Study (Soul Food - Wed. 6.45PM -8.00PM)GMT Prayer (Destiny Hour - Fri. 6.45PM - 8.00PM) GMT.
