Come Unto Me
Come Unto Me! ++++++++++++ Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28 KJV One of the most challenging situations in life is to find yourself dealing with a particular issue that is never going away. Perhaps, you have been yearning for a life partner; a couple desiring to have children; dealing with challenged children; perhaps it's your financial life..you are literally drowning in debts; or sudden medical situations or chronic debilitating diseases; abusive relationships etc. This may be who our text describes as "heavy laden". Jesus has your attention this morning and calls out to you... "Come unto me!" May the Lord cause you to enter into His divine rest! Amen. God has appointed a day (or season) of rest. In Genesis 2:2 "....God rested on the seventh day from all his work" of creation and then went on to bless Genesis 2:3 "the seventh day and sanctified it". God made the day of rest HOLY. This morning He is inviting you to come to this HOLY place and day of rest in Him. Are you labouring... are you heavy laden, God shall deliver you from this yoke as you trust Him. Trust Him! Be sensitive today and obey His promptings! Mix faith with this Word of invitation from Him. Carrying the cares of this world is burdensome. Following after religion is a yoke of the world. Jesus says we should come to him and take His yoke...for He is meek and lowly and this will lead us to find rest for our souls. Humility is key and prayer is the medium to accepting His Will and purpose for our lives and ultimately finding rest in Him, just as He accepted by humility the will of His Father in going to the cross and ultimately found His rest. It requires patience. Love is patient. Come to Jesus and fall in love with Him and you assuredly will find His rest.
