The Former Things Shall Pass Away

The Former Things Shall Pass Away +++++++++++++++++++++++++++ And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. Revelation 21:4 KJV For us in Christ, this world is certainly NOT our home! This is a broken world. Let no one deceive us that this can be fixed! Ever since the fall of Adam, death, and sorrow, have become key aspects of our lives as humans. The effect of sin is permanent. Christ intervened to salvage humanity from the wreckage. He has made us an offer to escape the destruction that sin has brought to the earth and to us humans. For those who have chosen to accept this offer of love, there is new hope! Yes, I appreciate the arguments. Could God not prevent the problem of evil if He is all-powerful and all-knowing? You and I have questions! God's answer to us is; (Isaiah 55:8-9) For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. God has not abandoned His creation. He has had a plan all this while. The Salvation Plan of God has been successfully executed by God Himself on earth. The dawn of the day of His resurrection brought to life this new hope! Jesus went on to give us a glimpse of the future through this vision He gave to John and this amazing promise expressed in our focus scripture this morning! No more death! No sorrow, No crying, no pain! Did you just say, that the promise is too old and perhaps.... Moses promised to return to His people after His encounter with God. But His return was delayed; (Exodus 32:1) And when the people saw that Moses delayed to come down out of the mount, the people gathered themselves together unto Aaron, and said unto him, Up, make us gods, which shall go before us; for as for this Moses, the man that brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we wot not what is become of him. Moses did eventually come. (Jesus will certainly come soon). But Aaron the Priest of God, had become a Priest to Satan and many were with him naked spiritually. Judgment followed swiftly. The question was... Who is on the LORD's side? (Read Ex 32) This parallels Jesus' return. Will you trust in Jesus' promise?
